I was in New York this past weekend and was surprised to find that the 10th floor of the New York Design Center had been transformed into a showroom for over 60 of the most popular vendors on 1stdibs. It’s true! The best in vintage, antique and midcentury furnishings is no long strictly digital. It was beautiful – just like the flea markets of Paris but cleaner. So many colors and materials! I am so thrilled to be able to access some of the greats in person. As you know, I am a huge fan of technology, but sometimes there is nothing like finding the perfect piece of furniture in person and being able to inspect it and touch it. I spent half a day in there just exploring and can already expect that the 10th floor will become a regular for me at the New York Design Center. So there it is – the first favorite resource – 1stdibs at the New York Design Center. Below are a few photos of the scene I got online. Enjoy.
