INDIAN INFLUENCE and My Obsession with Boho chic!

Happy Friday! Today’s post is on Mother of Pearl inlay furniture and the continued influence of Indian culture on our boho chic love fest!
India has a billion people and is the wold’s largest democracy! India is full of enchantment and contradiction! A global powerhouse that holds steadfastly to its artistic and spiritual traditions. From the iconic Taj Mahal, fairy tale forts of Rajasthan and ancient Hindu temples to bustling bazaars filled with brightly colored saris, jewelry and hand carved furniture. Think Prada’s new Spring Collection in the windows of Bergdorf’s right now! Don’t worry, the collection hasn’t shipped yet so still time to get in on the boho fashion craze!

The iconic “pouf” is from the other side of the world! It is a great item to have and is available in many colors.  Don’t be afraid to use this in any style setting! A touch of Boho works beautifully in any environment! Think of a boho as your favorite pair of ripped jeans paired with a stunning Chanel jacket for spring! The Boho part is the jeans.  The little mother of pearl inlay table you can use as a wonderful accompaniment to a smaller coffee table.  Don’t think that because you have one coffee table that you can’t pair it up with a great pull up table!

Keep your eyes peeled for this very strong trend in home decor for spring!

“Happiness is when what you think, what you say and what you do are in harmony”.-Gandhi
