HAPPY FRIDAY! Ran the mountain this morning and came up with this blog!
I am currently working on a project that is for a bachelor. Which for some reason, every time I have a project with a bachelor why is the question always about dating them? I think there may be a reality tv show here, not staring me however!
I am currently up to the design of the master bedroom. Ok-mind out of the gutter and yes I know what it sounds like! We could give new meaning to the Million Dollar Decorator! BUT we won’t!
The bedroom has fairly high ceilings, ten feet and the views are fabulous. I started to think of what style of bed would give me the “weight”
or the drama needed and of course my thoughts turned to a four poster bed. But for a guy? Maybe too feminine?
Then I thought, stainless steel, very masculine and handsome! and NO draperies on the bed!
Draped beds are definitely a dramatic statement when dressed up with curtains. Which, interestingly enough were designed that way to keep out drafts and insects.
The four poster Bed no longer has or serves the same purpose in regards to all the drapery details but the bed’s height and design is a fabulous statement in a modern application!
There are two companies that have stainless four poster beds that I think are great and easily accessible. Room and Board has one and so does Ralph Lauren.
